MIDWIFERY CARE PACKAGES
Serving Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities.

Holistic Midwifery Care Package
Holistic midwifery care is for people who want the support of an experienced Licensed Midwife and clinical herbalist throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This package is for those who value a holistic journey that includes the emotional and nervous system experience of this season, not only the physical milestones.
This package focuses on vitalist herbalism, functional nutrition, and connection to your process. Appointments are typically 45 to 60 minutes. Postpartum appointments are 60 minutes.
Clients are welcome to join our community offerings, including Corazón Adentro, a circle for pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond, and Radical Self Care Monthly.
Midwifery Inner Journey Package
This package includes everything in the Holistic Midwifery Care Package, with longer appointments and additional somatic and traditional practices to support deeper regulation and integration.
Appointments are curated so you can relax, connect, and process your journey. This is space to explore emotions, create supportive habits, bring your questions and concerns, and receive grounded, loving care. Vitalist herbalism and functional nutrition are part of your care. Somatic practices during these appointments may include rebozo bodywork, sobadas, and breathwork.
Seven to ten of your prenatal appointments are 90 minutes to allow time for somatic breathwork and/or rebozo bodywork. Postpartum appointments are 90 minutes to 2 hours and may include traditional practices such as baños, bajos, sobadas, cacao, fermented beverages, and rebozo bodywork. A closing ritual is included at the end of our time together.
A Heart Centered Midwifery Practice
Virginia Wittebort, LM

I chose the path of traditional parteria from devotion to my purpose and the ancestral practices carried through my maternal lineage. My grandmother was a community partera and a nurse in our Andean homeland in the 1940s and 1950s. These practices have supported families for generations, and I carry them forward with purpose in Austin, Texas.
I honor midwives and parteras as community healers, licensed or not licensed. I chose licensure because it allows me to practice more openly and sustainably within the Austin community. My work blends clinical midwifery care with vitalist herbalism, nutrition, somatic support, and traditional practices that help families move through sacred thresholds with trust and coherence.
Frequently Asked Questions
“What can I expect during your care?”
Our time is collaborative. I share tools, education, and options so you can make decisions from understanding and your intuition. I participate in decision making by providing information and resources in each stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, based on low risk standard of care and your individual situation.
During appointments, we track the hallmarks of normal pregnancy progression and discuss recommended labs and screenings. I also offer holistic options to support discomforts that may arise, with emphasis on nutrition, herbs, nervous system support, and the emotional dimension of this phase of life. I focus on personal relationships and trust in care, and we can address concerns you want to explore in addition to the clinical aspects of your visits.
Stephanie Berry, Licensed Midwife, is part of the care team. She will do one or two prenatal appointments, and we coordinate occasional off call days so we can rest and serve families sustainably. You will have the opportunity to meet her during care.
“What does traditional postpartum care look like?”
Postpartum care is a central part of my practice. I believe parents deserve to be cared for at home during the first 40 days after birth. I come to you for postpartum follow ups until you are ready to come to the office for a final visit.
“What happens if there is a need for transfer or emergency care?”
As a midwife, I specialize in normal pregnancy and birth. Many complications are predictable and not true emergencies. My training allows me to identify risk factors early and coordinate transfer to higher level care before complications become emergencies.
If hospital transport is needed, a midwife will accompany you when possible to provide support and continuity of care. We discuss scenarios for transfer during prenatal care so you understand what to expect.
When possible, we coordinate transfer to Texas Children’s North or St. David’s Main.
“Do you offer VBAC?”
Yes. We will discuss your history, your current pregnancy, and your individual risk factors. We will also review the risks and benefits of VBAC for you.
“Do you offer water birth?”
Yes. Water birth can be a safe and gentle option for labor and birth. You will have access to a birth pool, and birth supplies will be ordered separately.
“Do you take insurance?”
I am out of network with insurance plans. I do not submit insurance claims. I can provide a superbill at the end of your pregnancy so you can submit a claim or hire an insurance biller.
If your deductible is under $6,000, it may be worth requesting a verification of benefits.
“What are your fees and payment plans?”
I offer sliding scale fees for all services, and payment plans that can extend through six weeks postpartum. Package pricing ranges from $5,900 to $9,900 depending on package and sliding scale tier.
“How do I schedule a consultation to begin care?”
